This whitemetal casting represents the standard McKenzie & Holland signal post finial. Dimensions are approximately 29mm high x 6mm wide.

The finial was usually found on top of a wooden post or doll, and is most familiar from its use on the North Eastern Railway. The Taff Vale, Rhymney, North Staffordshire, Great Eastern, and Highland railways also used it, as did a number of Colonial railways.
