SC001 4mm scale Stevens & Co. signal lamp (pack of 5)
This whitemetal casting represents the standard Stevens & Co. signal lamp case. Dimensions are approximately 7mm high x 4½mm wide across the lenses.
This pattern of lamp was used by the London & South Western, Somerset & Dorset, Caledonian, Glasgow & South Western, Great North of Scotland, Taff Vale, Rhymney, South Eastern & Chatham and Hull & Barnsley railway companies.
Post-grouping conversion of signals to upper quadrant arms normally saw replacement of the lamp with a more modern type (SC006, SC0011 or SC0025), as the lamp would have to move from the right to the left hand side of the post.
