G1-02 10mm scale Stevens & Co. 20ft lattice signal post, ladder and landing Stevens & Co. provided lattice signal posts (the so-called "invisible lattice" type) to many railway companies. Notable pre-grouping users included the London & South Western, South Eastern & Chatham, Somerset & Dorset Joint, and North Eastern Railways. They were also used by all the Scottish companies, with the exception of the Highland. Note however that another style of lattice post was also used in Scotland (not yet in the range), so take care if you are modelling a specific location. After 1923, the main user was the Southern Railway, with a few on the LMS, and even the odd one or two on the Great Western. The Great Northern and the LNER used a completely different design, which is not yet available. The fret includes a 22ft jig-built ladder (with rung wire), plate for a centre-bearing lower quadrant signal arm, and a lamp bracket. The jig incorporated in the landing fret helps to hold the sides together when soldering. If you require a shorter post, build it to its full height, and then cut it size afterwards. The actual size of the post fret is 56 x 232mm; the landing fret is 39½ x 27½mm. Both are etched in 0.015" brass.
